BIG NEWS: Kids Eat Free at Disney World in 2026!
Happy Thursday, friends! Yes, you read that right—kids eat FREE at Disney World in 2026! I don’t know about you, but I’ve certainly never seen them offer anything like this before, so they must really want more visitors (either that or they’re anticipating that the country’s current economic status may prevent families from prioritizing annual vacations 😬). In either case, the full details for this deal are listed below.
Free Disney World Dining for Kids (Full Details)
To qualify for this freebie, your kids must be:
- Between the ages of 3 – 9
- Disney Resort hotel guests
* The other members of your party, including yourself, must purchase a regular dining plan.
So, basically, you, as the parent, must make sure you’re all staying at a Disney Resort hotel together with a paid-for dining plan for those who are 10 and up. Then, anyone nine and under in your crew will eat for free.

Is this Deal Worth It?
If you have children under the age of 10 and stay at a value resort, it’s definitely a deal worth hopping on. Kids’ meals cost anywhere from $12 – $21 each; multiply that by 2 – 3 meals a day for a one-week vacation at Disney, and that’s easily: $252 – $441 per kid!
Plus, you still get free transportation and those lovely extra magic hours (early park entry) when you stay at the value resorts. All of those little bonuses really do add up.

Who Should Skip This Deal?
Besides the obvious (childless millennials), some folks may actually save more by forgoing the free kids’ dining plan altogether. For example, if you just have one kid who’s three (or younger), then it’s best to skip this because three-year-olds get to eat at Disney buffets for free anyway. In that case, you might as well save even more on accommodations by staying at a Disney Good Neighbor Hotel or at an Airbnb.

More Walt Disney World 2026 Updates
The news of the free kids’ dining plan was announced when the 2026 Walt Disney World bookings became available to the public this week, along with a few more updates, including:
- Starting in the summer of 2026, Disney World Resort hotel guests will be granted free waterpark entry on their check-in day (they’re currently running this same promotion for this summer, too. You can get the full details here).
- Disney World Resort hotel guests will continue to get 30 minutes of early theme park entry every day (this applies at all parks).
- Guests staying at the Deluxe or Deluxe Villa resorts will be granted extended evening hours at theme parks on certain days.
- Guests will also receive early access to Lightning Lane and dining reservations.
