Is the Disney Free Dining Plan Really Worth It?
Hello, lovely readers! A common question that comes up while planning Disney World vacations is whether or not the Disney free dining plan is really worth it 🧐 Truth be told, I’ve never actually purchased a Disney dining plan myself, but I did a little digging around to see if their latest promo is something to get excited over since, well, it’s my job.

Free Dining Plan Details
Disney recently announced that you can get a free dining plan when purchasing a non-discounted 3-night, 3-day (minimum) package at select Disney Resort hotels with park hopper tickets by February 10, 2025. This is probably being done out of necessity since Disney likely needs more guests to stay at their hotels.
Depending on the type of hotel you stay at, you’ll either qualify for the regular dining plan or the quick service dining plan, which includes meals and snacks.
The offer is available for most guests arriving between May 27 and June 26th and July 7 and 6th, 2025, and can not be combined with any other discount or promotion. So, which hotels do you have to stay at?

Okay, But Will This Save Me Money?
Given that it requires a non-discounted, multi-night hotel stay AND park hopper tickets, I came to the conclusion that the dining plan is only worth it if you have a big family or are doing a large group trip, like maybe a bachelorette party (everyone in the same room must be on the same package).
If you have a family of 5+ and plan to eat three meals out daily, this will save you money overall. If it’s just you and your significant other, you’ll get a better “deal” by booking your stay at a value resort (without the vacay package) or Airbnb and dining on quick-service meals or yummy festival foods.
