Free Water Park Access for Disney Resort Guests in 2025
Hello, dear readers! In my world (“my world” being the inside of my mind), Spring starts as soon as January rolls around. Winter’s allowed to be here during the merry month of December, but that’s it; she’s got to GTFO after that. And with the recent Polar Vortex weather, I’ve been daydreaming about warm climates and waterslides more than ever.
If you’re in the same boat, I have some good news for ya: Disney Resort guests will now have FREE water park access! Whether or not you’ve purchased a hotel package, Disney hotel guests get to enjoy free admission to Beach Blizzard Water Park and Typhoon Lagoon on their hotel check-in day, so this is an actual perk, not a you-have-to-buy-extra-to-get-the-free-thing kind of “perk.”
Very few things in life are as exciting as the first day of a Disney World vacation. From approaching that iconic “Walt Disney World” sign to seeing your favorite characters, you immediately feel like you’ve been transported into a ’90s sitcom synergy episode (iykyk) where you’re just overcome with enchantment and now you’ve got even more to look forward to 😌

The Details
- All guests must stay in the Disney Resorts Collection and be registered as overnight guests on your resort reservation, so make sure your entire party is on there!
- This offer is ONLY valid on the day of check-in between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2025, so plan accordingly
- A hotel package deal is NOT needed
- Annual pass holders, cast members, and Disney vacation members get to enjoy this perk, too
What Are Some of the More Affordable Disney Hotels?
While I’m a Disneyland girlie through and through, one thing I DO appreciate about Walt Disney World is the fact that they offer a variety of value resorts, including:
- All-Star Music Resort
- All-Star Movies Resort
- All-Star Sports Resort
- Art of Animation
- Pop Century (I prefer this one because of the easy skyliner access and free bus service)

How to Access the Water Park
If you have luggage, you’ll want to drop it off in your hotel room or check it with bell services because luggage is not allowed at the water parks. However, you can rent lockers at the water parks to store smaller bags like purses or beach bags.
If you don’t need to store your luggage, you can go straight to one of the water parks and use your MagicBand, MagicMobile pass (a.k.a. your pass on the My Disney Experience App), or a Key to the World Card.
Okay, But How Do I Actually Get There?
Once you’re on Disney World property, all public transportation is free, so you can hop on a bus to one of the parks. If you have your own car, parking at the water parks is free. If you’d prefer to rent a private service, Minnie Van is Disney’s version of ride-sharing, and you just need to use the Lyft app to use it.
Do you enjoy water parks? What’s your favorite way to spend the first day of a vacation?
