How to See the Fireworks for Free at Disney World

Fireworks are hands down my favorite part of a Disney day! Between the compelling music, next-level light show, and shimmery display, it’s enough to make your girl misty-eyed 🥲 The best part? You don’t actually need to pay for a park ticket to enjoy the show, either! So, whether you’re looking for something to do on the fourth, or you just don’t have the energy to stay at the parks until showtime (hey, it happens), here’s how to see the fireworks for FREE at Disney World:

EPCOT Fireworks Show (Luminous: Symphony of Us)

How to See the Fireworks for Free at Disney World

showtime: 9 or 9:30 pm EST, depending on the day

Locations: Disney’s Boardwalk, Yacht Club, and Swan & Dolphin Resorts

The best place to view EPCOT’s Luminous: Symphony of Us is from the bridge that connects the Boardwalk and the Beach Club hotels but you can also view them between the Boardwalk Hotel and the Swan & Dolphin resorts where you can (sometimes) even catch the fireworks from both parks going off at the same time.

Magic Kingdom Fireworks Show (Happily Ever After)

showtime: 9 pm-ISH

Locations: Monorail Resorts (Polynesian Village, Grand Floridian, and the Contemporary), TCC Ferry dock, and Reams Road

Of course, when you think of Disney fireworks, the Magic Kingdom show with the Cinderella Castle in front is probably the first one that comes to mind. The easiest way to view them (with music!) without a park ticket is from one of the “Monorail Resorts”, park at the Polynesian, Grand Floridian, or the Contemporary, and enjoy the view! You don’t need to be a resort guest, and if you want to be extra frugal about it, you can park your car for free in Disney Springs and take the free Disney transportation to one of the resorts.

Short on time? No worries! Just park somewhere in Disney Springs and walk to the ferry boat loading area so that you can view the fireworks from the lagoon.

Don’t care about the audio? You can view the show along Reams Road, where the crowd levels are likely to be more manageable since you won’t get to hear the accompanying music.

*Always check the app for accurate fireworks show times, as they can vary depending on the day.*

More Free Viewing Options

Here are a couple of more viewing locations:

  • Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort (no audio but you’ll get a chance to chill by the water)
  • Fort Wilderness Boat Dock (whether or not you’ll hear the audio will depend upon where you stand, but you’ll get some pretty lakeside views either way)
