Try This Grey Stuff Recipe!
Good morning, dear readers! Since the holiday season is finally here (which means lots of potlucks and parties), I thought it’d be fun to share a straightforward but delicious dessert recipe from one of my favorite movies, Grey Stuff!
Grey Stuff, of course, comes from Beauty and the Beast, and I believe it’s supposed to be a liver pate that Belle tries during “Be Our Guest.” Luckily, when Grey Stuff debuted at the Disney parks, it was cookies and cream-flavored mousse, which is a bit more palatable for most people. I got this recipe from the Unofficial Disney Parks Cookbook, and it’s pretty much the easiest cute dessert you can whip up.

Grey Stuff Recipe:
Ingredients
12 chocolate sandwich cookies (a.k.a. Oreos)
1 (3.4 ounces) box of instant vanilla pudding (I used this size of Jell-o instant pudding)
1 1/2 cups of milk
1 (8-ounce) tub of frozen whipped topping, thawed (I used Truwhip)
Optional: Pearl sprinkles
Directions
- In a blender or food processor, crush chocolate sandwich cookies into a fine crumble. Set aside. *Note: make sure you use a blender or food processor. Otherwise, the mixture will come out looking more like clumpy Off-White Stuff.
- In a large bowl, add instant pudding powder and milk. The recipe says to whisk together and let it chill in the fridge for 10 minutes, but when I did this, it didn’t thicken at all, so I stirred it over medium heat in a saucepan until it began to thicken. Then I put the mixture in the freezer for about 30 minutes to cool off.
- Stir in cookie crumbs and whipped topping with a spoon, and pipe the mixture over scalloped cookies or cupcakes.
- Top with pearl sprinkles for an extra pretty touch!

Have you tried Grey Stuff before? What’s your favorite dessert at the parks?
